It is 2026! Can you believe it? A new year is already beginning, and my heart is filled with great expectation for what I believe God is going to do this year for you and in the lives of your loved ones. Through prayer, I believe deep down in my spirit that 2026 will be the year of the Double Portion.
The Prophet Isaiah prophesied to the exiled Jews in Babylon that they would return to Jerusalem with double of everything and everlasting joy! “Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so, you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” Isaiah 61:7 (NIV)
Instead of your shame, “you will receive a double portion” means that you will be compensated. The Lord will multiply everything that you thought was lost in your life. You will rise in 2026 from the ashes of 2025 with a double portion of honor and respect in your home, workplace, church and community. You will have great favor with God and man. “The Lord will give you a crown of beauty instead of ashes.” Isaiah 61:3 (NIV)
I believe that “Instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance” means that you will receive a double portion of your inheritance – that everything in your salvation benefits package will be doubled. This includes wisdom, revelation knowledge, your sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and your intimacy with Jesus Christ. Therefore, the power of God will be manifested in your life like never before. You will live the resurrection power lifestyle. “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation when you believed you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession to the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14 (NIV)
And so, you will inherit a double portion in your land also means that you can possess/own double of what you have in this physical realm. Everything that you own will be doubled by the power of God working through you, if you believe for it.
So, get up, get dressed, get out and get working for the Kingdom of God. So that you can experience the Zoe Life. An overflowing life is one of your covenant rights. Put a demand on your rights and walk/live in the fullness of Jesus Christ. “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy, but I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” John 10:10 (NIV)
“Everlasting joy will be yours” means that your joy will be doubled and never end because you have eternal life and the Lord has restored your fortunes. You will be filled to overflowing with unending praise songs, laughter, worship, and gratefulness. You will become a portable tabernacle of The Lord witnessing and sharing to the lost, strengthening the saved, and staying at the feet of Jesus. It will be as if you were dreaming. “When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those that dreamed.” Psalm 126:1 (NIV)
The year of the double is upon us right now! Make room for double holiness, double praying, double fasting, double meditation, double blessings, double anointing, double peace, double finances, double loving relationships, double prosperity, double healings, double insight, double wisdom, double knowledge, double discernment, double cars, double real estate, double clients, double sales and commission and double reverence for the Lord. Use faith words and speak out loud whatever you need to be doubled in your life. How do I make room for the double portion? Obey the word of God! Take hold of it by faith!
Since God is ready to give you a double portion in 2026, I want to give you an opportunity to worship your Savior with a double offering to in the month of January. Double your offering and plant it expecting a double harvest and double supernatural intervention! Amen! God bless you!
